J/K

I missed another day of Alphabet Soup.

My apologies to J. It's a very fine letter.

I have three amazing sons whose names begin with the letter J.

But even though right on my list of things to do it said, "Blog J," I guess it was not meant to be.

K is lovely, too. I have three amazing daughters with K names.

And K is for KINDNESS.

Ponder this quote by Mother Theresa while I write the letter J one hundred times to make up for missing yesterday..

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”

Christine's Daydreamer blog inspired my K today. Read her post here.

In today's time, lots of people enjoy video games. Anyone of any age can enjoy them at home or even in an arcade. To get the most out of your video games experience, read the suggestions in this article.

Try downloading a game demo prior to purchasing the actual game so that you can determine if you're going to enjoy it. Previewing a game can help you see whether you wish to buy the full version or not. Be careful, though, where you download the game from. Only download from a well-known site to avoid problems with your computer.

It is important to understand the game rating system. Understanding this system allows you to better control what your child is exposed to. Before investing money into any game for a young person, check the ratings for appropriate age groups.

You may want to make an area in the basement or set aside a room for your kids to play their video games. Computer Games can be extremely loud, and you probably want some peace from time to time. A game room can have a lot of benefits for your family.

If you come across a difficult game that is causing you to feel frustrated, it is a good idea to put it aside for awhile and return to it later. If you're not playing particularly well, try switching to another game to avoid frustration. Avoid frustration as it can negate the positive aspects of gaming.

If you are frustrated, give the game a break for awhile. Often, you will not be at the top of your game, as you may want to choose another time to try to beat it. Don't sit there and get angry or frustrated when you should be having fun instead.

If you are thinking about purchasing a gaming for a child, you may want to look into what each ESRB rating means. These ratings help you learn what games are best for your kid's age level so that you can avoid inappropriate content. The ratings tell you which games are appropriate.

If you only play one or two genres of games, think about branching out. Most people tend to play just one kind of game. Trying out all sorts of online gaming makes it a lot of fun and a very rewarding experience.

You should make sure you seek nourishment when playing your video gaming. Computer Games can get someone away from reality, even to the point where they are forgetting to take care of their basic needs. When you are playing online games, remember to drink a lot of water because dehydration can make you ill.

Check the Internet for suggestions and tricks for you favorite games. When you get stuck somewhere in a game, it can frustrate you and maybe even make you give up. Consulting a walkthrough or asking other gamers on a message board is the surest way to conquer that tough level and start enjoying the game again.

Figure out how to operate the safety and parental controls of any gaming system that comes into your home. You can likely make adjustments that keep kids from viewing mature content. Some allow each gaming profile to be customized separately, allowing adults to enjoy games not meant for younger audiences.

You already know how much fun you can have playing computer games. People from all over the world get great joy from video games. Now that you have had a chance to look through these recommendations, you probably feel that you understand a lot more about gaming. Good luck to you!

From improving your grades in school to your play on the soccer field to just kicking back and having a good time, video games have so much to offer! In this article, we share ideas to help you find great games and rise in your gaming levels.

Save your game in multiple slots. Every now and then, save it in another one. There may be a time when you wish to return to the game and do something new. If you just keep saving as you go along, you won't have that option.

Start out as a rookie when playing sports games. These games can be very tricky and intricate, so you will want to learn as much as you can before increasing the toughness. After playing for a few weeks, you can begin to make it more challenging by increasing the level of difficulty.

Make sure that you stay hydrated when playing computer games for long periods of time. It's okay to escape for a while with a game--that's what their main purpose is--but some people take it too far and get so involved in gaming that they don't drink water or other drinks regularly. Becoming dehydrated is dangerous, which is why you need to remember to drink plenty of water when playing.

Be cautious of online gaming. Sometimes you must pay a monthly fee for access. If your kids want to join a site that many of their friends are using, make sure that you take a look at it first. Evaluate the advantages of the games you find against the monthly fees that are charged.

When buying for children it is important to check ESRB ratings. Some games may look like they are aimed at children but have objectionable content that is not apparent from the box or other promotional materials. Check the rating and read some reviews to see what others say.

If you are a enthusiast of playing video games, you probably have your favorites. However, you should not narrow your choices. To make sure you do not get bored, try to vary the genres you play. You might have a more memorable experience in some genre that you previously avoided.

Start out with the easiest mode. If you discover a game is too easy, restart the game with a harder difficultly level. Once you have played on a beginner level for awhile, you will find it much easier to eventually play on a harder level.

Many modern online games give you two choices. First, you can earn in-game content and rewards gradually through investment of your time and work. Or, you can just flat out buy them with your real world money. Consider how much advantage these purchases will actually give you in game. Many cash purchases don't really do that much to help you win the game. Or, they might improve it a lot and save you tons of time.

It can be tempting to go all out buying expansion packs, add-ons and upgrades for your new game. This can get very pricey! Instead, be disciplined with your spending. Check out what you've got in the game you bought and only add on what you can afford.

Figure out how to operate the safety and parental controls of any gaming system that comes into your home. You can likely make adjustments that keep kids from viewing mature content. Some allow each gaming profile to be customized separately, allowing adults to enjoy games not meant for younger audiences.

You can enjoy computer games just for fun, or you can get a world of education and enrichment from them. Hopefully you have learned all you need to know about online gaming from this article.
